OFFICERS
MICHAEL S. REDDIN
Mr. Reddin joined Davis Petroleum Corp. in August 2009 as President
and Chief Executive Officer. He has 27 years of upstream oil and
gas experience in a diverse number of technical, operational,
commercial, and leadership roles with both majors and independents.
Prior to joining Davis, Mr. Reddin served as President and Chief
Executive Officer of Kerogen Resources, Inc., an early-stage
exploration and production company focused on the development of
North American shale plays. Before that, he spent 8 years in BP’s
Gulf of Mexico organization, where he served as Vice President of
Production, Vice President of Developments, and several other
leadership roles. At Vastar Resources, Inc., Mr. Reddin served as
Onshore U.S. Business Unit Leader, Manager of Business Development,
and Manager of Corporate Planning. In the early part of his career,
Mr. Reddin worked for ARCO Oil and Gas Company as a Reservoir
Engineer and Engineering Manager.
Mr. Reddin graduated from Texas A&M University, where he currently
serves on the Industry Advisory Council for the Department of
Mechanical Engineering.
DANIEL D. HAWK
Mr. Hawk joined Davis Petroleum Corp. in June 2006 as Executive Vice
President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining the
Company, he served for approximately five years as Vice President –
Treasurer for Burlington Resources Inc. Before Mr. Hawk joined
Burlington, he served as Treasurer for Vastar Resources, Inc. He
was Assistant Treasurer for Apache Corporation in both Denver and
Houston before joining Vastar Resources, Inc. Mr. Hawk began his
career in 1978 with Getty Oil Company, serving in Tulsa, Los
Angeles, and Houston, in various finance and planning roles in both
upstream and downstream businesses.
Mr. Hawk earned his Masters of Business Administration from the
University of Chicago and received a Bachelors of Science in
Business Administration from Drake University where he majored in
Accounting and Actuarial Science.
Mr. Hawk is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Cash
Manager.
THOMAS E. HARDISTY
Mr. Hardisty joined Davis Petroleum Corp. as Vice President, Land
and Business Development in September 2009. He is a seasoned land
executive with 25 years total experience. Most recently, Mr.
Hardisty was Vice President, Land and Business Development for
Kerogen Resources, Inc. Prior to that position, he served in land
management and executive positions with Shoreline Partners, Benz
Energy, and Petrocorp. Mr. Hardisty was also the Co-Founder and
Senior Vice President of Particle Drilling Technologies, Inc., an
early-stage oilfield service company.
Mr. Hardisty obtained his degree in Petroleum Land Management
from the University of Texas at Austin.
DAVID B. HINNERS
Mr. Hinners joined Davis Petroleum Corp. in June 2002 and
currently serves a Vice President, Engineering. He has over 38
years of engineering, managerial and executive experience in the
Gulf Coast, Mid-Continent, and Rocky Mountain regions. His recent
experience includes eight years as Vice President – Operations and
Engineering for Antara Resources, and ten years as Vice President –
Operations at Texoil Company.
Mr. Hinners graduated from Louisiana State University with a
Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering.
EDGAR I. MELLOR
Mr. Mellor joined Davis Petroleum Corp. in November 2009 as Vice
President, Exploration. He is a seasoned exploration leader with
over 30 years experience. Before joining the Company, Mr. Mellor
served as Gulf Coast Exploration Manager at Penn Virginia Oil & Gas
Corporation. For the fifteen years prior to joining to Penn
Virginia, Mr. Mellor held exploration management and executive roles
with ARCO, Vastar Resources, Inc., and BNP Petroleum, with
accountabilities spanning the Gulf Coast onshore and the Gulf of
Mexico. In his early career, he generated prospects for ARCO in
South Texas, South Louisiana, and the Delaware Basin.
Mr. Mellor has a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the
University of Dayton (Ohio), and a Master of Science in Geology from
Texas Christian University.
GREGORY P. SCHNEIDER
Mr. Schneider joined Davis Petroleum Corp. in June 2000 and
currently serves as Vice President, Production and Marketing. He
has been active in the energy industry over 30 years in various
management/operational positions with Transco/Williams Energy, NNG/Enron,
Howell Petroleum, and Northern States Power/Cinergy. Mr. Schneider
has vast experience in overseeing multi million dollar projects,
including project management of platforms, pipelines, plants,
processing facilities, and production equipment. He has played a
big role in the state and federal regulatory/permitting arena and
been heavily involved in the drilling/exploration and project
development from the well head and downstream operations, both
onshore and offshore.
Mr. Schneider earned an undergraduate degree from the University
of Texas at Austin with a major in General Business and a minor in
Engineering. He also has an MBA from the University of St. Thomas
with an emphasis in Finance/Economics and International Trade and
Finance.
MEL F. HAINEY
Mr. Hainey joined Davis Petroleum Corp. as Chief Reservoir
Engineer in November 2009. He has extensive experience having
performed similar duties over the past 30 years for Exxon Company
USA, Coastal Oil & Gas, El Paso Production Company, as an
independent consultant, and most recently at Penn Virginia Oil & Gas
Corporation.
Mr. Hainey earned
both an undergraduate degree as well as a graduate degree from the
University of Texas at Austin with a major in Electrical
Engineering.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
JAMES R. MONTAGUE
Mr. Montague has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for
Davis Petroleum Corp. since April 2006. In addition, Mr. Montague
currently serves as a Director of Atwood Oceanics, Inc., a Director
of the General Partner of Penn Virginia Resource Partners, L.P., and
a Director of the General Partner of Magellan Midstream Partners,
L.P. From 1996 to June 2001, he was President of two subsidiaries
of International Paper Company, IP Petroleum Company, an oil and gas
exploration and production company, and GCO Minerals Company, a
company that managed International Paper Company's mineral holdings.
From 2001 to 2002, Mr. Montague was President of EnCana Gulf of
Mexico LLC, a subsidiary of EnCana Corporation, which is in the
business of oil and gas exploration and production.
Mr. Montague is a graduate of Texas A&M University.
STUART DAVIES
Mr. Davies is Managing Director for Sankaty Advisors and has
performed in this role since 1999. Previously, he worked for
Prudential Capital Group where he originated private placements and
managed a portfolio of private placement investments primarily in
the industrial manufacturing, mining, and service industries.
Mr. Davies received an M.B.A. from MIT Sloan School of Management
and a B.A. Degree from Yale University.
Mr. Davies is a Charter Financial Analyst.
JOHN T. DILLON
Mr. Dillon is Vice Chairman of Evercore Partners and a Senior
Managing Director of the firm's investment activities and private
equity business. From 1996 to 2003, Mr. Dillon served as Chairman
and Chief Executive Officer of International Paper Company, and
prior to that, he served as that company's President and Chief
Operating Officer for one year. Mr. Dillon's professional
affiliations include Chairman of the Board of Directors of
TestEquity, LLC, and membership on the Board of Directors of Davis
Petroleum Corp., Vertis, Inc., Specialty Products & Insulation Co.,
Caterpillar, Inc., Kellogg Company, and DuPont. Mr. Dillon also
served as Chairman of the Business Roundtable, Chairman of the Board
of Governors of the National Council for Air and Stream Improvement,
and Chairman of the Board of the American Forest and Paper
Association. He was a member of the President's Advisory Council on
Trade Policy and Negotiations and The Business Council. Mr. Dillon
also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National
Council on Economic Education.
Mr. Dillon received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of
Hartford and a Master's Degree from Columbia University Graduate
School of Business.
WILLIAM O. HILTZ
Mr. Hiltz is a Senior Managing Director of the corporate advisory
business and is a member of Evercore Partners' Management Committee.
In addition, Mr. Hiltz has management responsibility for all of the
firm's investment management businesses. Prior to joining Evercore,
Mr. Hiltz was Head of the Global Energy Group at UBS Warburg, and
prior to UBS' acquisition of Dillon Read & Co. Inc., Head of the
Energy Group at Dillon Read since 1995. From 1982 to 1995, Mr.
Hiltz was a Managing Director at Smith Barney where at various times
he headed the Energy Group, the High Yield and Merchant Banking
Group, the Transportation Group and the General Industrial Group.
Mr. Hiltz has 32 years of experience in the investment banking
business beginning in 1976 when he first joined Dillon Read. Since
joining Evercore, Mr. Hiltz has advised General Mills on the
acquisition of Pillsbury, the divestiture of its interest in Ice
Cream Partners, and the divestiture of its interest in SVE to
PepsiCo. He has advised CVS on its acquisition of Eckerd, its
acquisition of Albertson's free standing drugstores, and its
recently completed $28 billion merger with Caremark. He has also
advised EDS on the sale of UGS PLM and on its $14 billion sale to
Hewlett-Packard, Swiss Re on its acquisition of GE's reinsurance
business, Tyco on its split-up into three separately traded
companies, Credit Suisse on its sale of Winterhur, Novelis on its
sale to Hindalco, and Aquila on its sale to Great Plains. Mr. Hiltz
is a former Director of Energy Partners, Ltd. He is a former Trustee
of the Salisbury School and currently serves as Chairman of the
Board of Trustees of Lenox Hill Hospital.
He received a B.A. in History and Government from Dartmouth
College and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of
Pennsylvania.
NEERAJ MITAL
Mr. Mital is a Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of Evercore
Partners private equity business.
He has eighteen years of experience in principal investing and
mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Mital was a
Managing Director at The Blackstone Group. From 1989 through 1991,
Mr. Mital was with Salomon Brothers Inc. Prior to joining Salomon
Brothers, he was with Price Waterhouse.
Mr. Mital serves on the Board of Directors of Mr. Bult’s Inc.,
alliantgroup, LP and Diagnostic Imaging Group. Mr. Mital received a
B.S. in economics with honors from The Wharton School at the
University of Pennsylvania.
KERRY STIRTON
Mr. Stirton is a Managing Partner at Red Mountain Capital
Partners LLC. He has previously held senior investment research and
portfolio management positions at Goldman Sachs and Sanford C.
Bernstein and, most recently, was a partner with Stellation Asset
Management, a fund of funds that successfully invested in activist
managers. He also worked in corporate strategy and operations at
McKinsey and at Bombardier Aerospace where he was Vice President of
Strategic Planning and Business Development.
Mr.
Stirton is a graduate of the University of Toronto, Oxford
University where he was a Rhodes Scholar, and the Harvard Law
School.
